A book about a private collection of St Ives artworks owned by a restaurant. When you looked closely at the collection, as I did, the art turned into a connected story about the art history of St Ives post war. I created the artwork and curated the content while working as Senior Designer at Meor Studio, for Alba Restaurant. Several hundred copies were printed at St Austell Printing Company and sold in the restaurant while it was open.

While I worked at Meor Studio, I created this design and artwork for Roly’s Fudge's Sauce range. Finding graphics that evoked the impression of runny sauce was a lot of fun. The final reprographic artwork was printed in special colours.

I was honoured to design the cover for the Cornish English Dictionary for Dr Ken George for the Cornish Language Board. I also created the final repgrographic artwork prior to going to print.

As well as producing flyers for Salt, Dance Republic 2 and Simon Birch, I also created the Photoshop montage image from a series of professional photographs and stock imagery. This was before AI. I am proficient in image manipulation, optimisation for print and screen, and image cloning.

I created print catalogues for the New Craftsman Gallery in St Ives for around 4 years. Once the catalogue is laid out, the images are checked, colours adjusted against original paintings and printed proofs are ordered to check with the artist on site. This is one of my favourite projects, working closely with an artist to create almost perfect printed documents. Always a pleasure working with galleries.

Creating signage can be creative. Whether it is a sign on a wall informing clients about their brand or vinyl wrapping a van, it sends a clear message. Working with local suppliers to install the signage is also a plus in my book.

This book was meticulously assembled, including many essential references for a healthy lifestyle. To give you a glimpse, my clients live in Florida and Texas, so you are not confined to geography when you are looking for a graphic designer to work with. I sourced the imagery and typeset the book alongside a professional editor, who was in New Zealand. I loved every minute of working on this book. I am very proud to see it as an ebook and a print version available on Amazon.
