Mothers 2B
This project is all about giving your baby the best start in life. Being a mother myself, the topic is close to my heart. I worked for Jon and Polly Tommey in print for many years, before their move to Austin, Texas from London.
Last year, I began developing a new website called Mothers 2B for their daughter, Bella Yon on the web platform Squarespace. Covering all aspects of preconception to first years, the website offers detailed help in many areas, including health, for all Mothers to be. The team have sourced and recruited the world’s leading experts in functional and integrative medicine, nutrition, obstetrics, gynaecology, homoeopathy, and environmental medicine to support mothers on this beautiful journey.
To date, this is one of the largest projects I have ever undertaken and completed on my own. Working with Bella and Jon from start to finish has been an absolute pleasure. I couldn’t have asked for a better working relationship, and we worked together online, using Zoom and by phone.
I created the branding for every aspect of this project, from the logo, typography, and imagery to questionnaire surveys, as well as a comprehensive e-book and paperback book about understanding nutrients. Soon, there will be a scheduling area to book consultations online using Acuity and email newsletters.
Once the web design was agreed upon, I built the fully responsive website in Squarespace. I added a dropdown menu plugin; the design aesthetic enhancing the functionality. The site was developed in several stages, and I worked closely with Bella and Jon to complete it. We introduced blog stories and links to their recommended supplements using the platform Fullscript.
Specifically linked with the Mothers2B website, I designed and built two free-to-use comprehensive self-assessment questionnaire forms (using the platform Formpl.us). The Diet Lifestyle Toxin Assessment (DLT) and the Nutrient Deficiency Symptom Assessment (NDSA) are in-depth assessments of your ongoing health. This NDSA provides three pages of the essential 33 nutrients the body requires, each with associated deficiency symptoms for you to work through carefully.

I developed an in-depth e-book called Understanding Nutrients with Jon, which will also be available as a paperback through Amazon. You can buy it as a digital pdf through the Mothers2B shop.
